The Rape of Lucretia is a painting found in the Bates Motel parlour. Behind it, a hole has been drilled in the wall to allow someone to peep into cabin #1.



  • Lucretia is a semi-legendary figure from ancient Roman history. Apparently, her rape and subsequent suicide were the catalysts for the rebellion that ended the Roman monarchy and began the Republic. The story has been immortalized in many paintings, sculptures, operas, poems and plays.
